I'm just walking down the street today.
I've been walking since yesterday.
Ain't learned nothing, I didn't already know.
Didn't meet no one, I'd want to follow.
And I don't know where I'm going to.
And I don't know where I've been.
If this one way street can't get me there,
I'll just follow it to the end.
I just don't know what I felt today.
All my options, I have to weigh.
Stand and face it, or run away.
Go around it, find another way.
And I don't know where I'm going to.
And I don't know where I've been.
There's no turning around on a one way street.
I can't look back again.
I ask myself, "Did I say it all?"
"Did I leave out all the important parts?"
"Was I wrong? Was I mad? Was I stubborn to the end?"
"Was I right? Was I good? Was I patient through it all?
I don't know. I don't care.
'Cause this one way street's gonna get me there.
It's gonna get me there.
So I'll keep walking down this one way street.
I'll ask some questions of those I meet.
I don't need answers, don't need any friends.
There explanations lay in the palm of my hand.
And I don't know where I'm going to.
And I don't know where I've been.
But this one way street's gonna get me there,
So I'll follow it to the end.
I'm gonna follow it to the end.
